The earliest moments you’re afraid to forget

but here they last

The beginning goes fast, even when you’re trying to take it all in

These days are full in a way you didn’t expect. Your baby settles against you and you pause a little longer than you meant to. And somewhere in all of this, there’s a wish for something that keeps this beginning close, even when the days start to blur. That's why I'm offering newborn sessions in my Raleigh studio, with everything prepared for you and your baby.

What I’m Here to Give You

When you’re in the first days with your baby, it’s easy to feel like everything is moving faster than you can take in and you're doing your best to be present in a season that doesn’t slow down for anyone.

With years as a labor and delivery nurse, I’m used to being in these tender, in-between moments with new families. You’re supported in a way that lets you breathe a little easier. Your baby is handled safely, your session follows a gentle pace, and you have someone who understands what these early days really feel like.
And instead of hoping you’ll remember it all, you leave with something real to hold on to. Pictures that bring you back to who you were in these days, what your baby felt like in your arms, and the beginning you want to keep close.

What my clients felt

A closer look at your Raleigh newborn session experience

Step one

Booking Your Newborn Session

Everything around the planning is handled for you, as only a small number of newborn sessions are scheduled each month, so there’s time to take care of it all without rushing you.

Step two

Choosing What to Wear

A curated wardrobe is ready when you arrive, with dresses for moms (XS–XL) and simple pieces for babies and little ones (newborn–6T). No shopping, no second-guessing, and I’m here to help with styling, outfit coordination, or recommendations that match your aesthetic.

Step Three

Your Raleigh Newborn Session

The studio is calm and set up for newborns. Years of experience mean your baby is handled safely and gently, with posing that keeps them settled and supported. Your baby leads the pace, and you’re free to rest, nurse, and just be in the moment

Step four

Viewing Your Images

About two weeks after your session, we’ll schedule a design and ordering appointment. You can join me in the studio or I can come to your home. Together, we’ll review your images, choose favorites, and plan any artwork or albums so your collection comes to life exactly how you want it.

Step five

Artwork in Your Home

Once your images are selected, your albums and framed pieces will be ready in about 4–6 weeks. Installation is complimentary for gallery walls of three or more frames or any statement pieces. I’ll help with sizing and placement so everything looks perfect in your home.

What my clients felt

"As a first-time mom, I totally underestimated what an investment newborn photos would be"

I wasn’t sure we’d even end up doing newborn photos, and now I have images I’ll cherish forever, but working with Jenna made it more than worth it. She was incredible from start to finish. She even came with swaddles that matched our nursery perfectly, and yes, she’s a total swaddle pro. And the best part, Jenna used to be a labor and delivery nurse, so she was amazing with our baby and even answered some of my new-mom questions during the shoot. I couldn’t recommend her more.

FAQ

When should I book my newborn session?

I recommend booking your newborn session during your second trimester to ensure availability around your due date.
Once your baby arrives, we’ll finalize the session date, ideally within the first 5–14 days after birth. This timeframe captures those sleepy, curled-up poses that are unique to the newborn stage.

What should I bring to the session?

For your session, bring any essentials your baby might need, such as diapers, wipes, a pacifier, and extra milk or formula if you’re bottle-feeding.
I provide a cozy setup with wraps, props, and backdrops, so you don’t have to worry about a thing

Is one session enough?

Sometimes it is, but this season doesn’t stay still for long.

If you’re wanting to hold on to more than just these early days, you can read more about the membership here.

What is the cost of Newborn Portraits?

I'd love to provide you with all the details about pricing, packages, and what’s included in the experience. To ensure I give you the most accurate and personalized information, please fill out my inquiry form.
Once I receive your details, I’ll send over the complete Newborn Session guide, which includes pricing, product options, and availability.
